Toshiba laptop won't turn on.?

I split milk on my Toshiba Keyboard last night and immediately began cleaning it up. I started popping the keys off to get as much as the milk as I could so it wouldn't damage the device. I didn't think much of it as it didn't look like any milk was capable of getting in deeper into the laptop.

However, soon afterwards the 'a' key began to randomly capitalize itself and the shift keys stopped working. Later, the Toshiba Keyboard was punching out random letters despite those keys not being hit. Soon after, the keyboard stopped working all together and now the laptop won't even turn on.

Is there anything that I can do to try and fix it? Or should I just take it into a shop and let them try and fix it?
